Gladiator Control System

Designed to replace aging electronics with a cost effective, easy to use, highly capable ROV control system Centurion Subsea Services have developed their own Gladiator control system.

Developed in-house, we have a range of subsea and surface PCB boards which are used to upgrade and operate any ROV system. This has been used extensively as the control system on our AUXROV & MultiROV vehicles.

The new Gladiator Control System builds upon the basic components of the original design. However, it is now a network-based system with the emphasis on a flexible and scalable solution using high speed fibre optics and messaging protocols.

On the ROV there is a single Electronics Pod which connects to oil filled Signal Junction Boxes which are located close to the sensors they serve allowing a distributed architecture to be achieved keeping cabling, whips and wiring on the vehicle to a minimum.

In the Control Cabin the efficient and uncluttered working environment meets the latest HSSE standards and features a pilot console, 24” touchscreen interface and a video wall for clear presentation of video and data.

The Gladiator Control System is designed to be user friendly with minimal complexity and minimal components while offering state of the art electronics high speed networking and fibre optics.
