CENTURION UK HEADS “DOWN UNDER” FOR DECOMMISSIONING PROJECT TO HELP PROTECT OUR OCEANS

Doing The Right Thing for our environment.

Centurion UK brands Centurion Subsea Services and Conserve are joining forces on a large-scale, New Zealand-based subsea decommissioning project that will support the environment by returning the seabed to its natural condition.

The six-month contract is with an internationally-recognised diving, marine support & logistics company, and will see the brands work together to provide a rental package of critical support equipment and services to the project.

Seanic will provide technicians, deck support equipment and large shears to support the removal of 40,000m redundant subsea flowlines. After being lifted from the seabed, the flowlines will be cut into 12 metre sections using Centurion Subsea Services’ shears, which offer a cutting force of 1,000 tons. Working within a tight timeframe, Centurion Subsea Services will carry out the work efficiently, safely and sustainably by using their equipment in a bespoke configuration that puts quality and performance at the forefront.

As part of the contract, Conserve will be supplying a-fully operational workshop container, carrying essential support spares and tooling, helping to maximise efficiency while minimising costly vessel time.
